The perfect balance

When developing the Ultimate, our goal was to strike the perfect balance between lightness, stiffness, comfort, robustness, and aerodynamics. The result? The most balanced, best-value road bike on the scene.

Aerodynamically optimised

On the road, aerodynamic drag is the largest factor holding you back. From just 14 kph, it’s the biggest force you must overcome. So we optimised the frame forms for minimum drag, through an exhaustive process of wind tunnel testing in collaboration with aero experts Swiss Side. We also integrated the headtube/fork area as much as possible for extra aero gains.

High-grade carbon layup

The CF SL combines the cutting-edge innovations of the SLX and CFR platforms with a carbon layup that strikes the ideal balance between durability and value. By using specially selected fibres, the carbon layup sets the benchmark in terms of toughness.

A new integrated aero seatpost

The Ultimate looks even cleaner and sleeker with this clamp design. The clamp is hidden away in the seat tube, so there’s no extra drag. We combine it with a D-shaped seatpost to reduce air resistance in the seat tube area to an absolute minimum.
